Abstract: A novel indirect solar dryer with photovoltaic panels was designed and developed. The performance of the dryer was studied under empty and load conditions. The dryer efficiency ranged from 34.67 to 39.08% for drying of the vegetables. Cost-effective and sustainable solution with a payback period of 0.78 years.
